The sixties had that fantastic Victorian romance revival thing going on with designers delving into the past for inspiration and when it was done right it was perfection! This is one of those pieces that was done better then right! The skirt is a layer of black chiffon over an interior skirt. There is a lot f fabric so it has a ton of movement to it! I love that the chiffon is edged in a wide swath of lace - it helps to weigh it down and is a beautiful finishing touch. The bodice is perfection - fitted to a tee and made of soft cotton mix machine lace. A high ruffles collar made of chiffon adorns the neckline. The sleeves are amazing - skinny upper arms are encased in lace and the cuffs are a full four inches that fit snug on the wrist. In between is a billowing puff of chiffon! A superb Varon maxi and it is in excellent condition, in fact it appears to have been unworn. Item# DD599
