Unusual mid Victorian acorn earrings dating from the 1870s. Each one set with three almandine garnet and two chrysolite stones. Applied floral detailing in the centre and curved edges and line work to give a realistic look of a shell. Small pointed drops hand freely at the bottom with small millegrain detailing. They're beautifully made and crafted in 15 karat gold throughout.
