This wide gold band (6.5mm) is engraved with a beautiful, leafy floral pattern. British jewelry is wonderful because their series of stamps inform us of where, when, and by whom the piece was made. This band is stamped with "EV 9 375 (anchor) (indiscernible)" which tells us that Viners Ltd. (Edward Viner) made the piece in 9K yellow gold in Birmingham. The last, illegible symbol tells us the year, and by the fact that it's worn away, all we can say about its age is that it's old (our guess is Victorian or 1940's).
The third picture (on the hand) more accurately shows the ring's color. It is not quite as coppery as it appears in the close-ups.
